Some recite that all houses have memories. For common man, his home is the post he would kill to forget. A clan unknowingly moves into a home at which place several grisly murders were committed…merely to find themselves the killer’s nearest target. Successful publisher Will Atenton (Craig) conduct a job in New York City to relocate his wife, Libby (Weisz), and two girls to a quaint New England city. But as they settle into their unaccustomed life, they discover their perfect home was the spoil scene of a mother and her children. And the thorough city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived. When Will investigates the dramatic poem, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Watts), a neighbor who was shut up to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they descry that the story of the in conclusion man to leave Will’s fantasy house will be just as horrifying to the individual who came next.
